It is called barbercide it is a disinfectant. You can buy it at any sally beauty supply or any beauty store. Sally's or a store like that you do not need a license to go into. It will not make your hair smell or get into your hair, just make sure your implements are dry after you put them into the barbercide before you style your hair.

The law states that all salon clinicial tools have to be soaked in hospital disinfectant for 10 minutes. It has to be a germicide, hospital disinfectant. Barbicide is the blue liquid that you see in the container. You can buy this at a Beauty Supply. I prefer to use a hospital disinfectant in my salon. (because it smells better) I buy this at a hospital supply store.

The most effective and arguably most common method is using a sterilizing cleaning astringent called Barbicide. Its a blue chemical with sterilizing agents.. very effective. It will not make them smell, or get on your hair. After soaking in the Barbicide, rinse under water, and let the combs air dry on a towel and your good to go!
