well i have long thick hair but when i get new growth its very stressfull to handle its very kinky and nappy at the roots and difficult to comb i get perms but somtimed they dont straighten it.what is the best product for this problem.

If a perm doesn't work, stop getting them, because eventually it will make some of your hair fall out. I use Pantene products for African American hair, and they work well. If you don't like Pantene, use Aveda, I use that sometimes as well, and that's always worked for me.

blackhairmedia.com and read the discussion board topics...you ill find good advice there...if you can't figure the site out by yourself ask someone to help you b/c once you learn how to search stuff on there it will be such a benefit for you to learn how to take care of your hair by yourself and to see the results...
