I highlighted my hair last fall and then had it semi-permantly dyed black. I need to straighten it but i know i cant use a perm or anything of the sort. I was wondering (other than a hot comb) if there were any serums or anything that could be used to get it relatively straight. Also how long do u have to wait (after ur hair has been highlighted) to perm it? Till the highlights grow out or what? (I am african american)

Try a flat iron, you can use it safely, just remember to coat your hair with pink oil or some other moisturizer so that you don't dry out your hair. I love our hair!!!!!!!
