Well, I'm a guy, but I do have knee length hair... I haven't had a "real" haircut in 8 years, %26amp; I use to have really short hair (like most guys). As for combing (or brushing), if I wanted to, I could brush it all in 15 min, but when your hair is this long, it's soooo relaxing to take your time... usually, I spend 30min or even more... I don't know what these other girls are talking about, but I think knee length hair on a girl is very sexy... However, it does take a lot of work to keep it healthy, which is why you don't see many girls with hair that long, despite how attractive it is.

I would think it takes a long time to comb, just try combing your hair like, 50 times. Ew, what if you stepped on it? How would you go to the bathroom? That would be very heavy. Wierd. But whatever, you shouldn't care what I think. Just saying, lol.

Really, really long hair like that is super-hard to take care of. It would take hours for it to dry healthily after washing, and hours to comb thoroughly. I wouldn't advise doing that. And to grow it out, would take years -- without trimming your hair.
But, that's bad for your hair because you need to trim your hair to keep it healthy. Without trimming your hair, you get lots of split ends.

well, if any girl grows her hair since she waz little, then she probably wud hv (though it really depends on her hair growth rate). it can take like 15 mins atleast 2 comb.

My cousin has knee length hair. I think she said she has been growing it for 12 years. I'm not sure though. And idk how long it takes her to comb it but i knowshe doesn't wash it everyday and she said it takes forever to dry. BTW her hair is beautiful and very thick.

If you want to grow your hair out then go for it! Don't let people stop you from doing what you want. It might take alittle bit to brush it, but if you think you would like it then go for it.

i have shoulder length hair n wit this length also i hav to spend 20 mins washin n conditioning my hair wit knee length hair it wud take hours............it wud roughly take 3 yrs to grow ur hair tat long....it wud b a looonnnngggg process.........

I had knee length hair in the past, it took me almost 5-6 years. It used to take me forever to comb- anywhere from 30-60 mins. I then got tired of them and donated my hair to a Cancer Association.
Im a man, i've got curly hair that when stretched is right next to my waist and i am growing it down as far as it can go, at minimum i want knees, and this is what i have to tell you from my experience, it depends on your hair growth rate, handling, and how healthy you are inside. Hair is alive inside, once it's out, it's downhill from there, you have to protect it from getting damage to keep your gained length. Keep it in protective buns and braids, don't wash it often, once a week is normal and healthy;your ancestors did it and they were fine, so i suggest try washing less often(especially with harsh chemicals like in shampoo), CONDITIONER IS YOUR FRIEND, and be very very careful with the ends. Don't let it tangle up, but carefully take the tangles out with your fingers.
ReplyDeleteI've heard of people who grow from waist to knees in 4 years, some from bald to knees in 9 years, and some people from waist to knees in 2, it really depends on so many things.
Oh and fuck what people say, they're stupid. Trust me, its what YOU want to do and it isnt fair if you're asking for help and people come and give you shit about your decisions. So basically, ignore those comments and GROW! :D
