Is there anything I can do for my toddler's hair?

My son is an African- American baby of Hispanic descent and he has REALLY curly hair. On the sides amd back he have loose, almost straight curls and on the top of his head, in the middle the curls are really tight. I've tried detangler shampoo, mosturizing hair lotion, and coconut hair oil to maintain his hair. But when it's time for me to comb his hair, he doesn't want me to and I don't want it to get matted and I'm not going to cut it. Is there anything I can put on his hair to make it more manageable and less painful for him?

Hey shave it a little down but leave some of the hair so you can still see short curls....When you have done this you can wet his hair and leave it curly with some Gel!!!

put some little plats on his head. when i was little i had that thick curly hair. my mom would sit me b/w her legs and pop me with the brush everytime i hollered and when i go to sleep she also did my hair

use all of it together then braid it...so it wont get tangled everyday.

since hes to young for relaxing you could use a hot comb to straighten his hair, thats what a lot of people use on young children of african american descent.

just curl the straighter curls and make em tighter curls like he's got on the top of his head. also, you could gel his hair up and give him a cool do. i suggest asking your hair stylist for suggestions, i mean he's only a toddler his hair will even out and become easier to maintain eventually. Just go with the flow.

De-tangle Spray or Comb out Spray
