Could you tell me everything i should know about getting my hair relaxed?

I've always wanted long straight hair, but I was not blessed with it. I'm considering relaxing it- would it stay straight? For how long? If you've ever gotten your hair relaxed could you tell me about it? Oh, BTW, my hair is extremely curly-

Relaxers only burn when you have been scratching your scalp a lot. So I hope you haven't been scratching. For me it stays straight for 6-7 weeks.

It can cause hair breakage too, but most of the time your hair won't come out a lot unless you have just dyed your hair or something. Also if the relaxer isn't very strong, your hair might not be as straight as you want it to be.

**If it gets on any part of your skin, make sure you wash it off as soon as possible or your skin will get all red and it will burn.

I got a relaxer once. I dont even know why I did because my hair is kinda "Caucasian" XD. Yay for mixed heritage.

A relaxer isn't like one of those Japanese straight perms (that are supposed to keep your hair straight no matter what). Relaxes are basically just chemicals hat help 'relax' the hair, especially for those with really kinky hair. It'll make it easier for you to straighten your hair.

And it burned!! D: They also make your hair break on the ends faster.

don't anything to your hair its gonna ruin the texture of your nice natural hair. just try and take care of your hair and it will grow!!
