I have fine straight layered shoulderlength hair.When I go to hairdresser they blowwave it striaght and put some serum init.You can see the streaks and it looks great.I cant blowwave like they do,so I comb it straight as I am drying it until it is completely dry.Then I use jumbo rollers in large sections for 10 minutes .When I take them out my hair looks good but it looks dry and you cant see the streaks.I use serum,good conditioners etc but unless I use a straightener its frizzy looking.I dont want to use a straightener every day Help Nancy

There is actual straightening hair products, like "Control Freak" by Bedhead which may help you.

I find that the straightening gel and "Extra extra Straight" Foam (green, metallic canister) from this line are superb for straight and sleek hair.

Try blow-drying cold. It makes your hair shinny and feels great out of a hot shower. Also, next time your at the hair dresser, ask them what they're using! It's their job to tell you and they will probably be able to sell you some or tell you where to find it. Good Luck!

Well first off, using a straightener everyday isn't a problem if you are using the correct protective products. Sleek.look flat iron spray blocks up to 400F. I use this along with there extreme straightening cream. I would ask your stylist what products she/he is using on your hair, as they may be using something for definition to help bring out the layers like a pomade or wax etc.. I flat iron my hair just about everyday, and have about the same look as what you are talking about, and my hair is very healthy, as i use all professional products which make the biggest difference ever. Stylists also if you notice section hair to do everything from blow it dry to flat iron or even curling, that way every hair is getting taken care of. Good luck!

Something that is really important that we use at salons that most people don't have at home is a really good blowdryer that is ionic and ceramic (and if you can one that is tourmaline also, even better!) People don't realize that a good blowdryer makes ALL the difference. Also, use a ceramic/ionic brush while you're drying.
