How to get the attached eggs out of the hair of a person who has had head lice and the lice comb doe

Use lice shampoo. Use a very fine-toothed comb and brush like crazy! Rinse your hair with vinegar. If the eggs do not go away, you will need to take them out by hand. The other products serve to kill the lice, not to remove the eggs.

First, treat the hair with Rid-X. Rinse it out and then rinse the hair with vinegar.

You can always get out a pair of clippers and shave all the hair off of your head. A bit drastic, but if all else fails....

A living nightmare, been there done that. Poor thing. Well, the school nurse told me to pinch the strands of hair and run the egg down to the end of the hair. That's too much and too much effort. (at least to me it was) I just as much as I hated to cut the strands of hair. OR if you havent already tried, take smaller bunches of hair in your hand and comb down, it SHOULD work if you work with less hair.

Good luck to you

you'll have to pick them out. sorry, its time consuming and disgusting and painful but its the only sure way to do it. the nits are stuck on the shaft of the hair. tightly. they will grow out with the hair or may eventually fall off with repeated brushing. but just pick them out!

You have to take these out yourself. You should just cut the hair and go from there. My girls got lice when they were smaller and it was a pain to get out. They had hair to their waste. I was crying but I had to do it. I gave them a bob and treated the hair twice. I had to pick them out. Sound gross and it is gross. I took off the bedding and washed it in hot water, I took off the couch cushions sprayed the lice spray all around it. Bought poison and sprayed the whole house. Cleaned the tub with bleach. It was alot of work. It took me all weekend. They got it from a girl at school. Good luck. Whatever you do dont use any other products in the hair. My mom did my sisters hair and it fell out alot. She put poison in it. I couldnt belive it. Thats so dangerous.

Carefully avoiding ANY eye contact, soak all the hair in hydrogen peroxide for 5 minutes. Rinse out completely. This fries the eggs and weakens their hold on the hair. Condition the hair with Johnson %26amp; Johnson conditioner and spray in detanger (if female). Comb with a cleaned lice comb. Also scrape the fingernails down small groups of strands of hair. That works. Wash hands afterwards. All involved need to take a shower afterwards using separate fresh towels that will immediately be laundered (if possible).

best to take them off by checking one strand at a time. it's an awful chore, but leaving some can start things over again. try to this outside in the sunlight. the eggs will glisten. good luck

What I do is make sure that the hair is washed and thickly conditioned. The conditioner acts slippery and the lice find it harder to cling onto thr hair. When they come in contact with water, they fall into a 'sleep' so they don't move around. Then befor you rinse the conditioner out, use the nitcomb. The secret is to do this more than once a week, because the animals life cycle is that they don't start reproducing until they are 1 week old. Hopefully this should break the cycle. The only problem is that you have to make sure that everyone else that the person comes into contact with who might also suffer from lice also has to do this! So other kids in the class etc. Theoretically, it should stop it from happening again if this was the case. As for getting rid of the eggs, hatched and unhathed , if the comb is broken or doesn't workm is by hand, I'm afraid. The younger the eggs, the closer they are to the scalp where its warm, so you take the botton of the hair shaft between your thumb and forefinger and pull. That should do it. If it hasn't , you haven't done it hard enough. The problem is that this can take forever, especially if there are loads, and if they are younger kids, they have no patience and they wriggle etc. Good luck!
