Okay, so here is the deal. My hair is a messy puffball. I shampoo it %26amp; condition it, it will look a bit frizzy but some nice waves going on. Then I let it dry on it's own. When it's dried, I take all the tangles out with a comb and POOF. What am I doing wrong? Sometimes I feel like I'm WASHING my hair wrong lol. It is so embarrassing and then my straightener takes me like 2 and a half hours (its conair) so I'll be lazy %26amp; put my hair in a messy bun for school to hide the poof. I hope to one day successfully achieve my dream of having nice hair that is super straight %26amp; leaving it down!
Will someone please tell me how to control my hair?
Wow talk about having the same problem lol. Only difference is that I have a solution for you :) My hair is like that all the time and i always resort to putting it in a tight bun so the frizzies don't show. Not good for someone with long thick hair like me but I totally understand when you don't want to straighten your hair..what a person will try to do to look decent (it takes me an hour and a half to straighten mine, but then again mine goes past my behind). If you're looking for a great alternative to permanent straightening and want a really good straightener, get the MaxiGlide by Maxius. There is also a serum called The End and another one called Beyond Straight that come with the straightener. The End is targeted to protect against split ends and Beyond Straight protects against humidity. I went so many years of my life spending thousands of dollars on straighteners and chemically straightening my hair that I almost gave up entirely until I saw these products on an infomercial 2 years ago. Try it! You can buy one online or at Bed Bath and Beyond or at Linens N Things. The straightener is 80 bucks but its totally worth it. My hair looks so shiny and sleek after using it and I can go a week without washing my hair (during finals you know? :P) and my hair will look the same. Hope you find a solution to your hair problem! I wish you all the luck in the world.

there are sooo many products out there.
try brushing it out when its still wet.
then again when its dryer.
and then again when its super dry.
when you straighten it, split it into sections.
and get a good straightener.
like chi or hot tools

Use some sort of finishing cream, try frizz-ease by John Frieda.
Blow-drying it straight can be time consuming, but it will make you hair look the best, especially when used in combination with a straightener. Also, using a straightener with a larger ceramic plate might make the process go more quickly.

Heyy!!
Well i think you shoukd try gettin your hair permentally straightened, even tho it can b pricey it will b worth it coz it should keep you hair straight for a month or two!
Alsoo dont wash your hair as much as normal and dont use as much conditioner coz wen u use conditioner it adds volume wich your trying to get rid of...
i hope this helped.

The 1st thing I think that your doing wrong is combing your hair after it dries. Instead try using a hair pick to get the tangles out before it dries and then let it air dry. You can also put some mousse and that will keep your hair from poofing. I would suggest to try using the Frizz Ease product line by John Frieda it works really well! I have the same problem with my hair (except my hair is curly)and doing the things I told you, it looks alot better

I have frizzy hair too :o(
I find the more shampoo I use, the frizzier it is when it dries. Try using a little less shampoo

it all depends on the look you are going for......if you want it still a little wavy, use mousse....i hate frizzy hair!!! i use a shine spray and it actually works for frizziness as well.....try doing alot of different things with your hair and you will find a way to make it look and feel the way you want it to....dont go by what others say b/c everyones hair is different

Oh I know how you feel, mine is still frizzy but not as bad as it used to be, a lot of the frizz was split ends so I had a drastic cut, an oil treatment and use a leave in conditioner, theres also another product to enhance curl it sounds like it defeats the purpose but having nicely formed curls does look nice too.
a hairdresser gave me a cheap tip too she said our nails are made from the same stuff as our hair so if you see any bargain bottles of cuticle cream, it works just like hair moisturiser rub a bit on your hands and run your hands through your hair.

conair is really not good
u better getter a good straightener such as a GHD (it does cost quite a bit, but its worth it)
also use good anti-frizz products, but straightening would be the key because there isnt anything magical out there, unless u chemically straighten it, which will damage your hair horribly
so i think getting a good striaghtener, with a good heat protecter would be your solution
